What we offer
Due to its production focus, PREOL is the leading Czech supplier of raw materials for the manufacture of animal feed.
The quality of our products, highly valued by our customers, is ensured through careful selection of raw materials, modern production technology, and comprehensive process control from seed to final product. This approach guarantees consistent specifications and final products of the highest quality.
The production of rapeseed oil generates a by-product known as rapeseed meal. Production begins with heating and crushing the seeds, followed by pressing the prepared material. The resulting press cake is then sent to an extractor, where any remaining oil is removed using an extraction agent, producing extracted meal.
A portion of the extracted meal undergoes further processing in an extruder, where controlled pressure and temperature modify its properties, resulting in extruded meal (By+). Extruded rapeseed meal is produced through thermal-mechanical processing (extrusion) of the extracted meal.
Short-term heating under high pressure improves digestibility and reduces antinutrient content. This process partially denatures proteins and deactivates enzymes, enhancing nutrient availability. The product has improved flowability, a homogeneous structure, and better palatability for animals. Its high protein and energy content allows it to partially replace soybean meal.
The stable structure and reduced dustiness facilitate handling and storage. Both extracted and extruded meals can be used as feed materials in accordance with the feed catalog (Commission Regulation (EU) No. 68/2013).
Both products are significant sources of plant protein, fiber, and minerals. Extruded meal, in particular, is targeted for specific feed segments such as dairy cattle due to its modified nutritional profile. The low content of antinutrients in both types ensures safe inclusion in feed mixtures.
Both products are GMO-controlled and GMP+ certified.
