General characteristic
Diesel fuel is a mixture of liquid hydrocarbons obtained from crude oil by distillation and hydrogenation treatment with the boiling point in the temperature range of 150 to 170°C. It may contain additives for improvement of its utility characteristics as depressants, detergents, lubrication additives and corrosion inhibitors.
Basic quality parameters
ČSN EN590:2001
Application
Diesel fuel is used as fuel for compression ignition engines or also as fuel for some types of gas turbines.
Packing, storage, transport
Diesel fuel is delivered in railway and truck cisterns or via product pipelines. During the storage, transport and handling of diesel fuel relevant legal regulations must be observed (Act no. 238/91 Coll., Directives of the Czech Ministry of Health, ČSN 65 0201, ČSN 65 6060 standards, etc.).
